Please excuse me dropping out of communication, but as those who know me bloody well know, I've been a busy little watsitt as of late, with my AOSB briefing (which you will all be pleased to know I passed (that said, the process is far from over)), but it's time for me to write again.
Now, from the age of 18 to about now has seen me lose a lot of faith in my species...more than normal in fact, and lately, things that people say/do tend to confuse/infuriate me. So in a hope that someone out there can shed some light on this, here's a brief list of some of these things.
1 .Action groups. Now this is one of the things I really don't understand. It may be because I am of a military mind, or may be because I hate political bullshit, but action groups, in my mind, are the most pointless thing on the face of the earth. Now what brings this mini rant (or at least I will attempt to keep it mini) is Kony 2012. Now, I highly disapprove of his methods, child soldiers is wrong, and so is kidnapping people, I mean if you are rebelling against something, surly it's best to be better than what you are rebelling against, which he isn't. But that's not what's bothering me. What is bothering me is the amount of invites I got to these discussion groups, where people would sit down and discuss the best course of action that they were going to take in order to bring Kony to justice...
ok...what’s the plan? T-shirts with slogans on? Signs? convincing the government to place sanctions? a pop concert? sorry guys...how naive can you be? A man who kidnaps children to fight for him or murders them is not going to suddenly break down with the whole "What have I done" routine because a few brits talking about it. And to be honest, the other side of this war is just as bad and also utilise a child army! but in terms of Kony, this isn't what discussion groups were meant for. in my opinion, it's what 7.62 rounds were meant for.
2. This point will be shorter I promise...but Duck Face...
Why girls? just why? You look about as attractive as a platypus...please, please, please...stop...thank you
3. Girls and horses. This is something I’ve never quite understood. Lots of girls seem to have an obsession with horses...Personally, I don't see the attraction. I have asked some girls why, and even they do not know why most of the time...maybe it's just one of those things. The only thing I can liken it to (I think) is guys and cars, which, I can relate to...I don't know why I like cars (well that's a lie, I love the thrill of going fast), but that's the closest comparison.
4. TV shows like x factor, Britain’s got talent, and big brother. Why in the name of god do people watch this garbage. I really don't understand...I mean I know it's people my age half of the time on some of these shows, but still everyone who goes on them annoys me! it's like a collection of attention seekers, whiny *****s and just general bozos...
5. Haggling. Dear customer's, if I have told you the package price, please, for the love of god, accept it. No I will not make it cheaper. No I will not throw in free stuff. we are not in a market in the middle of middle ages, prices are not negotiable! That is all.
Well I think that's the limit of what I can post without leaning too far into controversy, if anyone can explain any of these things, please do tell me
